so what has my life been filled with lately. A lot!!!
i was able to housesit this amazing house that sits on the bluffs of encinitas over valentines weekend. the place is 3 stories, and has an elevator and its own stairs that goes down to the beach. it has clean simple lines and a place to put everything. I was in heaven :) i got to watch 2 dogs and got all the love i could possibly want. as i was cuddling with roxy i thought yep i do need a dog one day... she did something that truly made me laugh, she would fart and and it would scare her and she would run away like she didnt do it. i wanted to run away myself when i got a whiff of one of those nasty farts. dog farts are the worst. period.
manny asked me what i wanted to do for valentines day... and so i told him NOTHING. i don't want to talk to anyone except for him, i wanted to stay at that beautiful house and enjoy it, i wanted to read book, walk on the beach, watch the whales from the kitchen... i wanted to do NOTHING!!! i got my wish and it was lovely! i think that this wish came from working and talking tooooooo much the days previous and i was tired from trying to entertain. i do also have to say that any of my presents to manny fell flat. blah. i hate trying to make a commercialized holiday special. i like it when he spoils me just because he is thinking about me and not because he is told that he has to. i also know that i like to spoil him for he exact same reason.
i bought my dress and it is beautiful... however for whatever reason possessed me i bought it in a smaller size... WHY THE CRAP did i do this? it is my every freakin thought... uuuggh... now i need.must.absolutely.work out.work out. workout. here we go again. my terrible nightmare of walking down the isle in my sweats with a wifebeater that says bride on it will be my wedding attire. WHY OH WHY did my sister allow me to do this.
So people just know that i will post it here about my workouts so that i will be more accountable maybe... frick what did i do.
other than that nightmare everything is coming along on the wedding front :) i just keep plugging along with it and pray that it all comes together.
i also got a brand new niece this month... i told mary ellen that i would be more than happy to watch the kids and take them to school when they were in the hospital... for some reason i was awake at 2:10 in the morning... when i get a text from james saying that it looked like it was time so i needed to head over. i am a little slow at this time in the morning, so he texts back that they couldnt wait and to just come over and go to sleep in their bed and they would call me in the morning. turns out they really couldnt wait because i passed them at 2:30 in the morning and and i get a text at 3:1o that she was born!!! she has a ton of hair and is beautiful:) i feel bad for her because her 3 siblings all adore her and always want to touch and love on her. she is very blessed with a family that cherishes her. and lets be honest she has the best parents!
enough of an update for now...luvs

some new things i have learned
that my best comebacks are said only in my mind 10 minutes after the confrontation should have happened.
that family is everything, but i like the peace and quiet that is seldom around when any morris is!
that its nice to be able to run to someone with problems, and that its important to someone else too.
that i can revert quickly to being eight years old again and when someone deeply hurts my feelings i instantly want to say... fine your not invited to my wedding. ( i caught myself and giggled because that is stinkin funny!)
that having your car battery die sucks... especially when its done blocking in an uncle that can always make me feel like white trash... love it.
that i am so emotional about everything like i was sixteen... poor manny.
that i still love what i do.
that life is VERY exciting and am thankful for everything that has been blessing my life lately!
that all will be well.

things that made me giggle this season
so living at home with my parents for a few weeks has been fun... i have all my clothes shoved in bags, shoes are all over the bedroom floor, the bed is rarely if ever made, parents clomping down the hall in the early morning, one bathroom with a shower that scares me, nephews and nieces always around making lots of noise... ahhhh being home is lovely!:) but truly the greatest things that i have enjoyed are seeing my parents in everyday actions... the first and the thing that humbles me is a site that is only late at night when everything is quiet. its seeing my mom kneeling beside her bed, her last act of service that her tired body performs on a daily basis. it brings tears to my eyes to see her head bent and her quietly kneeling talking to her father. i know that i am in those prayers and that she is always asking for my Heavenly Father to watch over my steps and to guide my life. seeing this has been one of the greatest things that i have ever seen in the 32 years of my life.
the second thing that i love to see is the way that my parents interact with one another. i know that they love each other. they have shown this throught there devotion to one another through the years. i know that my dad needs my mom strength and love of life. i also know that my mom needs my dads lightheartedness and sense that all will amazing in a couple of days! my parents have taught me to serve. its amazing to be able to go "home" and to see things that i have taken for granted.
so this christmas my dad wanted to come into the cell phone world... so i went out and got him a cell phone for christmas... he wanted to know his phone number... my mom and i were in the other room talking when she heard her cell ring... she looked at me and asked if that was my phone, i told her no that is her phone... she goes running to answer it before she misses it. on her way to answer it she passes my dad who is sitting on the couch. so the next thing i hear is my mom answering her phone: "hello!"
then i hear my dad say: " hi how are you doing"
then i hear my mom say " YOU DORK!"
yeah my dad wanted to know his number so he called my moms cell... it was awesome they were in the same room and talking on their own cell phones to each other:) i sat there and laughed and laughed with my dad... my mom was standing there with her phone in her hand and said... "i just dont understand why you didnt tell me that it was you calling..." truly made me laugh!

im an angler...maybe
after friday night's trip getting cancelled we made the best of it and he drove me around oxnard/ventura area... it was a very pretty area and the coast is my favorite! we went to a lake and i couldn't get over how beautiful the area was. it actually had trees that were in full autumn color and it was tucked into the mountains around it. I actually felt like it was a fall day!!!
Taking the first (of many i am sure) self portrait on my new camera... one of the reasons nothing has been posted
back at the boat while i tried to stay out of manny's way as he hustled to get the boat ready for the charter that night. i quickly learned that my 'help' really isnt that... so i just stood by watching as he ran around doing things. and i have to say it was amazing to watch him work... yep it really was NICE!

this is before the night of 'sleep' it was before the rolling really hit me and made me say some serious prayers for a stomach that wouldnt empty itself and embarress the rest of the body that encased the all important stomach. i went down below and instantly felt queeeeeezy! so i layed flat on my back... really a bad idea, more praying was being uttered... so i flipped over onto my stomach and literally felt every single muscle in my stomach tighten and release... the nauseousness went away and i was able to "sleep". manny came in to check on me and i asked him to hold me...

manny came in to check on me and see if i was ok in the morning... but i slept in a little longer! i thought i would be a big girl and get up and surprise manny with my sunshiney face... i got up and as soon as i put my feet on the ground my stomach started in... so i thought i will pick up my new boots and my sweatshirt and put them on up top where the air would be fresh. i put on my head band, and out the door i went. only to be confronted with a guy sitting on the steps to his berthing area, our eyes connected and i knew i would lose it. this guys eyes were watering and tears were running down his cheeks, his stomach was dry-heaving and i knew that the sympathetic puker that i am was about to lose it! so back in i went and flat on my stomach i went uttering more prayers!!! i fell asleep and woke up when manny came in (thinking i was being lazy) to check on me again. i explained to him and then i decided i felt better but i knew that if i bent over it would be all over. so manny put on my boots and off to fishing i went! it really was calm for the rest of the day and i didnt have another thought about being nauseous!!!

meet manny!
So world that is viewing my blog meet Manny... yep i am marrying this man next year. some of you maybe surprised and wonder why you havent heard about him before... let me explain. after talking to my mom she said that she is a little shocked because i don't seem like i am over the moon excited about marrying him... i actually am! but i have learned that over the years i have embarressed myself by talking about boys that just really in the end meant nothing, but just sucked the life out of me slowly over the course of our friendship. so when manny came bounding into my life i had my arms out to block any advance he tried to make on my heart... not only did he have get around that but also the walls that i have erected over the years... he tried valiantly to get around that then he had to conquer my stellar personality and cutting words... so basically i was a horrific beast to him... i tried so hard to push him away. but he persisted for whatever reason, cuz if i was treated the way i treated him (oh wait i have!) i dont think i would have persisted like he did... anyways, over time and for many reasons my heart softened and i realized that the things that held me back from loving and accepting him were crap in comparison to the amazing heart that he has!!! so here are some of the things that i love about him... i love that he is forgiving, understanding, strong, loving, willing to jump through hoops for me, persistant, loves his family, genuinely a giving person that gives his whole heart to the people he loves, i love that he giggles with me, i love that he is the hardest worker i have ever met. i love that he makes my life a little easier that i have a partner in my daily life, i love that i miss him when he is gone (which is often) but i am HAPPY when i see his face come around the corner! i love that i believe in him and all that he has to offer me and the world around him. i love that i feel safe and cherished by him... i love that he knows that i am a butt and he still loves me. i love that he is nice even when he is in pain. i love that he is sooooo tired after work but he still wants to see me... and goes out of his way to do just that! i love that when i was soooo tired after my flight home from greece i could fall asleep on his shoulder at dinner when i couldn't be home in bed!
i love him. so now that you know just some of the things that i love about him i will tell you this... that after i made the decision that i loved him and didn't want him to go anywhere i didnt introduce him to anyone because i wanted to cherish him and keep him close to my heart. i wanted to protect what was now sacred to me, so a didnt tell anyone how i felt about this amazing man that blesses my life... so if this hurt you or you are concerned about me... this is my reasoning!!! so world my wedding will be sometime next october just to give you the heads up!

thanks nesha!!! this really did make me laugh and cry... because my whole life i felt stifled and that i wasnt good in school because math never made sense. i wished more than anything for it to but it always eluded me. not until after "school" did i realize that i think outside boxes that "normal" people place me in and if i cant figure something out, put it in my hands and more often than not i can figure it out. it wasnt until after school that i found out that i am intelligent and that i really can hold my own... i was and still am tired of the labels that grades put on me and the people around me. thanks for giving me validation!
