some of my favorite things
sorry this is soooo long, but its very entertaining (for me at least!) it was on my myspace page and it still makes me smile!
As I was making my morning drive to work today I was thinking about a list of stuff that makes me happy! As I was driving I thought I should make a list of the stuff both big and small that makes me smile... The list could be small but over time I think it will grow!

1. how its warm right before it snows

2.looking up into the heavens and seeing huge flakes falling down

3.hearing the crunch of snow and the silence that snow brings.

4. my nephews

5.my nieces

6.playing board games with my friends

7.sitting around after dinner with my family and really talking.

8.playing skipbo with my family.

9.driving in my car and listening to #16 on my Bob Marley CD and dancing in the car!

10. I love the white flowers on the trees outside my apartment. It makes me think of the song popcorn popping on the apricot tree.

11.the time jonathan, ryan and I were swimming and jonny was launching me and ryan wanted in so he launched Jonny but instead of falling off like jonny was supposed to he just stood on a shocked ryan shoulders so long that ryan looked up and said...dude get off me! still makes me laugh!

18. getting in the car and finding a gecko on the windshield that stayed on the car the entire way around the island. we named him gus!

19. yelling at the really hot boy on the side of the road that he was the hottest guy i had ever seen!

20.snorkling the first time with amanda vannortwick and her throwing peas at me so that all the fish would swim up on me... Scary when all of a sudden there are a hundred garabaldi fish right in your face! she is evil

22. standing up in church and telling every guy there that they wanted to date me and they could if they signed up and wrote my name on the lines..... Nicomi, Nicomi Jean, Nicomi Jean the love Machine Morris, Comi, Com's and seeing the shocked look on everyones faces!

23. Sabrina Pyckles getting up to conduct and tripping and falling in front of the whole relief society!

24. Sitting in my activities committee meeting at the institute building and hearing Lynette Tofili fall down the stairs. which made me laugh and hearing her say Shut up Nicomi!

25. me getting up to throw away some garbage and tripping and falling and showing everyone there my underwear!

26. Getting to see my nephew Bryce for the first time through my screen door because I was too sick to be able to go to the hospital and so my sister in law brought him over so that I could see him! It was the first thing that they did as soon as they got outta the hospital

27. holding bryce when he was crying and singing I am a child of God

28. falling for someone

29. realizing that someone isnt so special anymore!

30.doing a job I love and watching peoples faces when I get to completely redo their hair. It makes me smile!

33. my nephew Porter calling and saying hello comi for the first time!

34. people falling all over the ice up at ricks (thats right ricks ... the real name!)

35. Christmas On the Prado

36. pictures of people that have influenced me and my life forever!

37. watching people walk into doors or windows and thinking "thank goodness thats not me"

38. Nesha and Paul walking in the mall when they were engaged and singing "we were walking in the park one day, in the merry merry month of may" and going to kick each other on the leg and instead hooking their feet and falling right in the middle of the walkway in front of the movie theaters!

39. being in 2 weddings on the same day and changing my dress in the parking lot so that I could take pictures with both parties!

40. doing flowers makes me smile when I step back and say. this is the exact bouquet I want when I get married. watch I will have daisies and carnations and think that that is the coolest thing ever!

41.My mom and I setting up a jewish chuppa together not knowing what they look like. we didn't have the right poles set up, at one point it was only to our waist and blowing all over the place. It wasn't until my mom looked over and saw the other poles that we got it right and they could actually stand under it to get married!

42. eating that chocolate dessert at disneyland where I was sitting in between Jay and Jamie and getting up from the table to look down and see the chocolate had dropped down the grated table all over my pants!!!

43. Annie and I painting my bathroom together!

44. Dave calling me to hang out with Dave and Annie the day after they got off their honeymoon and eating wedding cake with them on their balcony!

45. Dave looking at me and saying that he wishes i could find the perfect man and telling me with all seriousness that he wishes he could clone himself for me!

46.getting into my bed after my a long day makes me smile!

47. josh telling me he hates me "infinity times ONE!!!"

48. cutting spencers hair and plugging him because it was toooo late and he made me giggle!

49. Cutting Spencers hair around 3 in the morning because he finally let me cut his butt part and all the friends sitting around watching and clapping because it was finally gone!

50. Sitting in this stupid relief society presidents dinner with a date I actually had to ask and having my bishop and his wife tell me that he bought his wife white hiphuggers and laughing at the look of disgust on her face and the way she said hiphuggers. I will always remember looking into daves face and giggling with all these serious people sitting around!!!

51. Sitting in my apartment at ricks and hearing my name being yelled and my friends laugh/screaming up to me on the third floor that my friend Maralee just flashed all of ricks college her boobs by getting her shirt and bra hooked on the fence as she was climbing over it!

52. Getting picked up by a cop at the end of a date and driven home. It got me outta a really awkward goodbye!!!

53. my cousins (3 brothers) throwing a ball from the third floor the the first where that one would hit it with a bat and watching that one hit it right into the 2 floor bedroom window. All of my roomates and cousins running into my apartment and hiding!

54. seeing the biggest bug I have ever seen in my whole life at my aunts house and trying to get her to kill it. the next thing I know she hands me binoculars and bug spray and I am wandering around trying to find it. my uncle comes home and finds it and chases us around the couch with it!!! my aunt Pat has the funnest laugh in the world!

55. Look out Leah and the tuesday night gang... Need I say More!

56. watching prison break and 24 with all my friends makes me smile!

57.watching as people had fun square dancing makes me smile!

58. looking at jays face when we were at the del mar fair (on a ride he didn't want to go on) and not hearing any noise and just seeing his laugh lines makes me giggle!

59. Road trippin with Kimmie and Josh to Nevada and the comedy that ensued!

60. painting my less than a year old nieces toes with bright pink tonail polish and her smiling and pointing to them but not touching them!

61. Naptime with my Porter. nothing better than hearing him say snuggle comi!

62. Having porter tell me I can't nibble on his ears "cuz their stuck comi"

63.playing spoons that night with jesse, abby, annie, and julie till 3 oclock in the morning and then making potato salad with "special sauce" (thanks Jesse)

64. going on my date with aaron and launching water balloons at couples that were on dates and then cuddling up to one another so we wouldn't get caught!

65. The corkscrew at UCSD medical center!

66. Riding the Carosel at Sea Port Village and Eating free Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream!

67. Walking up Blacks Beach with abby and giggling the whole way up because she was panting really loud!!! That made the walk up that cliff that much harder!

68. Painting Aarons Toes while he slept so peacefully on my floor!

69.Cheating at spades with Kimmie at fourth of July so that John would have to make us handmade shakes!

70. Chasing lightning bugs in the middle of the night in upstate New york!

71. Kimmie and I sleeping in Johns spare bedroom with our heads lower than our feet, kimmie waking up in the middle of the night screaming right in my ear!!! It scared the hell outa me!

72. remembering going to france with josh and my dad!

73. seeing a couple of teenagers trying to push each other into the pool and then the mom comes over and pushes one of them into the water. She surfaced and Said "I didn't want to get wet" (oh really then why were you in a bathing suit smart one!)

74. typing this list makes me smile just remembering how funny my life has been!

75. Watching people do stupid stuff and look around hoping that noone saw what they just did! that really makes me giggle!

76. Doing something stupid and looking around praying that no one saw what I just did and laughing whether I got caught or not!

77.Leah and her bachlorette party... it was topped off when we finally got into bed and she fell down the stairs and stubbed her toes and said MOMMA!!! that was a classic Leah Moment!

78. Getting together with Spencer and Making the first basket for Tommy and Katrina and having them catch us putting it together. Putting that basket at the front of the table and making sure that it stayed there!

79. Doing the payback basket for jen and spencer with the whole gang!

80. realizing how shallow guys are and what they really look at makes me laugh!

81. going to the beach with my mom and spencer and flying the trick kite at the OB kite festival. Falling after jumping around the tide pools and getting dirty and then seeing my dirty butt on telivision the next day!

82. My grandma doing her sexy dance for me!!! I learned the moves that day on how to dance for my future husband!

83. Playing with my grandmas helmet hair and having her growl at me... then watching her younger sister Annie reach over to put grammies hair back in place and seeing my grandma growl at aunt annie thinking it was me!!!

84. I can do 16 more!

85. getting a huge hug from someone and knocking my rib out! that was a good one!

86. getting kissed for the first time by someone that you really like... that really makes me smile!

87. Getting into the limo in san fransisco and paying 5 dollars to get kidnapped with Jay and Julie!

88. walking up one of the steepest hills in san fransisco with my dads associate who was a smoker. he had us get on the trolley and then jump off when they came to collect money. that was embarrassing!

89. eating with my friends at big kahunas!

90.the good times at school with chandra brown!!! I told her she was going to be my friend!!!

91.having clients come back and say that their haircut was the best one they have ever had!

92.watching the sound of music with friends and picking out another thing that makes us laugh or make us want to do when the right opportunity arises! Pussy Willow!

93. Moving Daves car repeatedly and having abby do it!

94. Swimming at 3 tables and seeing all the amazing fish!

95. Almost drowning with kim and josh cuz we were swimming on sunday!

96. Leah and rachel singing at the top of their lungs at the 212 and having the security guard come up to stop them. All of us hiding in the bedroom and locking dave in the living room!

97. Playing with my family at christmas

98. watching a re enactment of gettysburg and people watching from under the table we were hiding under for shade!

99. watching U571 and singing row row row your boat with Jay at the end

100. Yeah this is done! and it makes me smile that you took the time to actually read from my crazy life. maybe you want to try to do this too!

101. Annie and I marching with our hands and Aaron in the other corner marching with his legs to the battle hymn of the republic with Julie leading and laughing the whole time!

102.bringing down all my blankets and staying up all night watching movies with tzenni-bah, garth and cortney!

103. the guy in church getting up to sing a song and aaron leaning over and saying wouldnt be funny if that guy farted right by the stake presidents head. which made me giggle then aaron leaning back over and saying can you imagine the stake presidents hair billowing with it. I lost it and had to get up and leave sacrament!

MEMORIES WITH NICOMI THAT MAKE ME SMILE:

#1. "Yo, PUMP up the Jam!" Nicomi's performance in the annual dance show at Sierra Nevada Dance Center. She wore a checkered spandex costume and had to tape her boobs down for the performance. I kept a VHS copy of the performance and sometimes pull it out for a group of her friends, much to her horror. heheheheh

#2 "Don't backtalk me, missy! You've been gone for 7 hours!" Our sweet but senile paternal grandmother accusing Nicomi of delaying our trip from Utah to Nevada. Nicomi had run to see some friends before our departure and was gone MAYBE an hour and a half.
#3 "Does this ever hit the windshield?" Nicomi riding in my car and asking about a spare tap I hung from the rearview window. I said it hadn't and RIGHT THEN hit a giant bump, making the tap CLANG against the window hard.
#4 "BACK TO BACK WITH THE RIO GRANDE, A CHRISTIAN WOMAN IN THE DEVIL'S LAND!" Singing with Nicomi and pissing Kimmy off.
#5 "I'm a VAMPIRE!" The best episode of COPS ever.
#6 The most expensive Polaroid in France!

out of 104 smiley memoirs you couldn't even squeeze me in one? How rude. I am hurt. I can come up with at least a list of ten.
1. Everytime I would take a pic of Nicomi she would shoot me the finger, once even with the ENSIGN in her other hand. Don't lie I have the pic. :)
2. You sandwiching me between the wall and psycho roomie's mattress.
3. The night you told me old roommates off. (that is a personal favorite)
4. The night we paid the Dominoes man our 7 or 8 dollars of pennies for our 1 large 1 topping pizza. I also have the pic as evidence.
5. The rubber band fights that would take place between either you and shawn or you and cameron. All the rest of us were using furniture and armor to protect ourselves from your brutal rubber game. :) ha,ha!!!
6. The late night runs to the AM/PM mini mart or something like that for BIG GULPS for like .79 and a penny for swedish fish. MMMMMMmmmmmmgooooooddddddd.
7. Jay and I, apartment, bed, you need I say more for the floods of memories that keep coming.
8. All of our mischievious encounters. There were to many to mention.
9. Dancing. Whether at a school dance or just in our apartment.
10. The baseball team. Need I say more there too?
